Trial Year: $8,102 Raised in 2018

Honestly it all started when I wanted to bring a Nashville-based band (Flying Buffaloes) to Charlotte, NC for fellow members of Providence Country Club to enjoy. When we secured the ballroom for the band and as the event planning unfolded, we decided to add a silent auction and conjoin this fundraising event with our annual PCC Turkey Trot golf tournament so to raise money for Help A Hero. Thanks also to Jason Sehorn, former NFL New York Giants cornerback, for supporting us by coming out to hit some long drives and take pictures during the golf tournament. Our efforts ended up raising $8,102 for Help A Hero!

The event was well-received, so we decided to continue this in 2019. Upon the suggestion of Kevin Reardon, Providence Country Club PGA Director of Golf, we created the Veterans Charity Classic Golf Tournament to be held each November.
